Dedicated to the legend of the Ohia Lehua Blossoms....
Its the story of eternal love between a child of the ruling class, Ohia, and his young love, Lehua. Because of their different classes, the elders forbid them to be together. One night they snuck off to a beckoning cliff in the belief that only in death they could be together. As they embraced, Madame Pele appeared and offered them an opportunity to spend eternity together. She then changed Ohia into a tree and fashioned Lehua into beautiful red blossoms and placed her in the arms of her lover. It’s said, that if visitors pick a lehua blossom, it will rain...
